Aneesh began full-time in public service as Virginia’s Secretary of Technology. In 2009, based on his record of success in Virginia, President Obama appointed Aneesh as the nation’s first Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Aneesh was charged with promoting innovation to address the nation’s most urgent priorities -- from creating jobs to reducing health care costs and keeping our nation secure. Upon Aneesh’s departure to run for office, President Obama said, “his legacy of leadership and innovation will benefit Americans for years to come, and I thank him for his outstanding service.”

Dr. Peter Hudson is a Managing Director at Alta Partners, a leading healthcare venture capital firm, and a physician and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience founding, growing, and investing in both healthcare technology and services and digital health. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of U.S. Acute Care Solutions, one of the nation's largest acute care companies and a Welsh Carson portfolio company. Dr. Hudson was the Colorado Technology Association’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013 and a guest of the First Lady at the State of the Union in 2013, representing digital health as a national policy objective.
